Creamy Tuna and Peas Delight

Craving an effortlessly comforting meal? Look no further than this Creamy Tuna and Peas Casserole. It combines tender egg noodles, succulent tuna, sweet snow peas, and a luscious mushroom sauce, all topped with a crispy layer of buttery cornflakes. Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon Himalayan pink salt (for pasta)
  • 3 cups snow peas
  • 4 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 1 cup melted grass-fed butter
  • 3 cans Albacore tuna
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup whole raw milk
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish with grass-fed butter. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over high heat, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add egg noodles, cover, and simmer until 4 minutes short of al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Add frozen snow peas to the pot to thaw, drain, and then add them to the cooked pasta.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed cornflakes with melted grass-fed butter. Mix well.
  5. In the same saucepan used for noodles, add Albacore tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add cooked pasta and peas to the saucepan with the creamy mixture. Stir well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish.
  8. Top the casserole with crushed cornflakes, spreading them evenly.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until cornflakes turn golden brown and crispy.
