Easy & Healthy Sweet – Spicy Glazed Salmon Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs fresh, skinless salmon fillet
  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

 

Instructions:

  1. Lay the fresh salmon fillet in a flat dish.
  2. Combine red wine vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, water, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, cilantro, and brown sugar in a blender. Blend until the brown sugar dissolves, creating a flavorful marinade.
  3. Evenly pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it’s well-coated. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
  4. Line a broiling pan with foil. Take the salmon out of the marinade, place it on the pan, and season it with salt and pepper. Transfer the remaining marinade to a saucepan for later use.
  5. Preheat the broiler to low.
  6. Broil the salmon about 6 inches from the heat for 5 minutes. Brush the salmon with the reserved marinade. Continue broiling for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, brushing 2 or 3 more times. The salmon is done when it’s no longer bright red and can be easily flaked with a fork.
  7. While the salmon cooks, simmer the remaining marinade over low heat until it thickens and reduces by one-third, taking about 5 to 10 minutes.
  8. Use the cooked marinade as a flavorful dipping sauce or drizzle it over the salmon just before serving for an extra burst of taste.
