Nando’s was founded in 1987, in Rosettenville in Johannesburg, South Africa, and nowadays operates over 1,000 outlets in 35 countries. It’s a global flame-grilling, PERi-PERi chicken restaurant group. The logo is based on the Rooster of Barcelos.
They are famous for: fresh chicken, marinated for 24 hours in PERi-PERi and flame-grilled in your choice of spice from the PERi-ometer. Also you can try their Sunset Burger – two chicken thighs, melting cheddar cheese, smoky red pepper chutney and baby spinach in a bolo do caco – a soft, sweet roll. Or try a salad, Cauliflower, Butternut & Halloumi Salad, made with mixed leaves tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, topped with charred turmeric cauliflower, butternut squash, dried cranberries, grilled halloumi cheese and roasted pumpkin seeds.
