All fast-food visitors have asked themselves this question at least once. It is an ongoing debate, and the opinions are divided. What do you think is McDonald’s burger better than the one from Burger King?
The idea was to compare burgers, but since we were hungry, our focus was on large meals. That is why we picked the Whopper and Big Mac. Take a look at what our analysis says!
The Tastiness of a Burger at Burger King
We will skip the introductory part about how everyone is polite and the restaurant looks nice. That is the case in most Burger King and McDonald’s restaurants in the world. We were there for the food, and the first thing we noticed was that we needed to ask for cheese in the Whopper. It is an interesting approach to skip the cheese in the default setup, but we figured out that Burger King compensated with other ingredients.
Once we opened the Whopper from Burger King, we noticed that the bun is only on the outsides, and there is no that middle layer. It is a crucial difference compared to the structure offered by Big Mac. The burger reminded us of the classics we prepare at home. It included a generous quantity of meat, as well as onion, tomato, lettuce, and pickle.
The great thing is that each ingredient was chosen carefully. The raw onion was crisp and tasty, and even pickle was delicious. It felt like each component was in place and added to the flavor. We could say the same for the bun, which was as soft as expected.
Can a Big Mac Match This?
Before we went into McDonald’s, we all thought it would be hard to match Burger King. However, we tried to be rational, ordered the Big Mac, and sat down at the nearest table.
As we mentioned, we were greeted with a middle layer of the bun. It is an interesting approach, but we felt it was unnecessary. It steers your attention away from other ingredients. That is why it might be hard even to feel the pickle and other components of the burger.
Fortunately, that also allows the Big Mac sauce to shine! It is hard to admit, but the sauce was the best part of the burger in McDonald’s. Although it had a soft patty and tasty meat, it still failed to wow us. Burger King succeeded that with their burger. While you can’t go wrong with either, if you have a chance, always go with a Whopper!
